During the September presentation, Tim Cook and the company talked about the impressive performance of the A12 Bionic processor.
In addition to the eight-fold increase in the number of calculations per second, the average user received an impressive performance increase.
Anandtech tested the new processor and made several conclusions:
- A12 Bionic is 20 – 40% faster than A11 Bionic chip.
- The new processor is 6% smaller in area than its predecessor. All thanks to the transition to a 7-nanometer process.
- The clock frequency of the A12 Bionic is 2.5 GHz versus 2.38 GHz for the iPhone X.
- The processor consumes 12% less power than the A11 Bionic.
Finally, the A12 Bionic chip is recognized as the fastest on the market.
In artificial performance tests, the iPhone Xs outperforms the flagship smartphones based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 in power. And this gap is almost 2-3 times. [ iPH ]
