In Switzerland, crematoriums will extract precious metals from the ashes of the dead

In September of this year, Switzerland’s largest crematorium of the Republic of Nordheim, located in Zurich, installed an unusual filtration system . A special machine chooses from the ashes of citizens who were cremated by precious metals: gold, silver and platinum. The average productivity of this ritual enterprise is 6500 cremations per year. Even the third part of this amount looks impressive. The resulting metal is sold to processing companies, and all profits will be received by the state. This method of “mining” of minerals will annually bring in the city treasury of Zurich income in the amount of 100 thousand dollars.
