The British Foreign Office has accused Russian military intelligence of organizing “indiscriminate and reckless” cyberattacks. They are directed against political institutions, business, media and sports organizations around the world, the foreign ministry of this country is sure.

The agency referred to data from the National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC). This organization found out that the GRU is behind many cyber attacks. The attacks were carried out with a “flagrant violation of international law” and affected citizens of a large number of countries, including Russia, said in the UK.

British diplomats listed 12 hacker groups allegedly controlled by Russian intelligence:

  • APT 28;
  • BlackEnergy Actors;
  • Cyber ​​Berkut (“Cyberkut”);
  • CyberCaliphate (Cyber ​​Caliphate);
  • Sandworm;
  • Sednit;
  • Sofacy;
  • Pawnstorm;
  • Tsar Team;
  • Fancy Bear;
  • Voodoo Bear.

The Kremlin has repeatedly rejected accusations of involvement in attacks by hacker groups.
