Microsoft has introduced over-the-ear noise-canceling over-ear headphones

They will cost 350 dollars (about 22 thousand rubles).

Microsoft announced the Headset Surface during a presentation dedicated to this line. The main features of the device was variable noise reduction, wheel controls on the ear cups and premium sound.

The company said that the headphones have 13 levels of noise reduction, which can be customized to your discretion by scrolling the wheel on the left side of the device. For active noise suppression, 8 microphones are built into Surface.

As with headphones from other manufacturers, you can pause tracks in Surface or switch them by touching the ear cups. The wheel on the right side of the device is responsible for the volume during music playback.

If you remove the headphones from your head, they will pause the music automatically. You can also control Surface with Cortana’s voice assistant.

A USB-C connector for charging is built into the headphones, as well as a 3.5mm mini-jack that allows the Surface to be used like regular wired headphones. From a single charge in the wireless mode, Microsoft headphones work up to 15 hours, and with a wire – 50 hours.

Surface headphones are designed for the premium segment: they cost $ 350 (22 thousand rubles) and will be available at the start only in the United States for the New Year. According to CNET, Microsoft has spent three years developing the device and intends to compete with other manufacturers of noise-canceling headphones, such as Sony and Bose.

During the presentation, Microsoft also introduced Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2. The devices received minor improvements: new generations of processors and body colors. The company also announced an updated monoblock Surface Studio 2, graphics performance which increased by 50% compared with the first version.

In addition, at the event, Microsoft announced the release of a major October update of Windows 10, the launch of a “mirroring” screen application for Android users and the appearance of a “ subscription ” to Surface devices from $ 25 per month (for the US only).
