However, when it reaches pensioners will have to choose: to retire or to continue working.
The deputy of “United Russia” Natalia Poklonsky has made amendments to the bill on raising the retirement age. In them she proposed to leave the retirement age the same (55 years for women and 60 years for men), but with the right to choose: to retire or to continue working. At the same time, for a full year after reaching the retirement age, the pension increases by 3%. Payment of pension will begin after dismissal from work.
Thus, people will be interested to continue working after reaching the specified age and independently earn themselves an increased amount of pensions. Those who are not able to continue working after the specified age have the right to retire on general terms.
In addition, Poklonskaya proposes to introduce the right to retire for people who have 37 or more years of insurance experience and to change the amount of insurance premiums.
In order to avoid the facts of illegal dismissal of employers who continue to work, in addition to the proposed criminal liability, I believe it is advisable to amend federal legislation regulating the amount of insurance contributions to the pension fund and federal social insurance funds, providing for benefits for employers’ contributions to workers categories.
The government plans to raise the retirement age in stages in 2019. For women, it will increase from 55 to 60 years, for men from 60 to 65 years. For the adoption of the bill voted all representatives of the “United Russia”, except for Natalia Poklonskaya. The Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia and “Fair Russia” opposed the increase in the retirement age.
