Krasnodar recognized as a city with a millionaire

The Office of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea recognized that the population of Krasnodar has reached one million people. This is reported on the site of the city administration.

Head of the regional department of the Federal Statistics Service Tatiana Kurnyakova presented Mayor Yevgeny Pervyshov with a symbolic certificate at the celebration of the 225th anniversary of the founding of Krasnodar.

We have sought recognition of this status for several years. It’s nice that it happened on the City Day, and Krasnodar officially became the 16th city with a million population of Russia.

Cities with a population of more than a million people are: Moscow (12.38 million), Petersburg (5.28 million), Novosibirsk (1.6 million), Ekaterinburg (1.45 million), Nizhny Novgorod (1.26 million) Kazan (1.23 million), Chelyabinsk (1.19 million), Omsk (1.17 million), Samara (1.16 million), Rostov-on-Don (1.12 million), Ufa ), Krasnoyarsk (1.08 million), Perm (1.04 million), Voronezh (1.03 million) and Volgograd (1.01 million).
