The popularity of the left has fallen, and the right have more seats in parliament.
The Social Democrats gained 28% of the vote, and thus this is the worst result for them in history. In 2014, 31 percent of voters voted for them. . The left-centrist coalition led by the Social Democrats received a total of 144 seats out of 349, while the opposition center-right coalition won 143 seats.
In the meantime, the Swedish democrats, who, for their withdrawal from the EU, as well as stop importing migrants, gained a record 17.6 percent for them. In the last elections they scored 13. Thus they took 63 seats in the parliament, but they are not part of any coalition.
