The main temple of the Armed Forces of Russia

We leave for a new level of religion.

By 2020, in the Patriot Park near Moscow, the Ministry of Defense plans to build the main temple of the Russian army. The construction will be timed to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The description of the temple on the official website says that it is designed in a monumental Russian-Byzantine style and will symbolize the spirituality of the Russian army raising the sword only to protect its Motherland.

Also on the site you can donate money for the construction of the temple. By the way, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has already called on the military to take part in the fundraising event, but noted that it must be done only on a voluntary basis.

The history of Russia, whose independence is forged in wars with foreign invaders, is inextricably linked with the history of temple construction: in memory of the defenders of the homeland, temples-monuments, chapels, memorable signs and entire orthodox architectural ensembles were built from time immemorial.

The Temple of the Armed Forces

As reported by RBC, the height of the building will be 95 meters. The temple will take the third place among the highest Orthodox churches in the world. The first place at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior is 103 meters high, and the second at the Isaakivsky Cathedral with a height of 101.5 meters.

Users of social networks compared the temple with the building of a Soviet military laboratory from Red Alert 2 and a hybrid of Hogwarts and Barad Dura.
