The hacker group Fancy Bear has published documents according to which some well-known American sportswomen accepted forbidden preparations for therapeutic purposes with the permission of the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA).

For example, Serene Williams in 2010, 2014 and 2015 was allowed to use oxycodone, hydromorphone, prednisone, prednisolone and methylprednisolone, and her older sister Venus in 2010-2013 took prednisone, prednisolone, triamcinolone and formoterol. The diagnoses that caused this decision are not specified in the documents.

Also in the documents assures that the gymnast Simon Biles was not disqualified from the Olympic Games in Rio, despite the positive doping test.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has confirmed receipt from WADA of notification of the hacking of the organization’s anti-doping base. This representative of the ITF announced the publication of “R-Sport”.

The fact of hacking was also confirmed by the International Olympic Committee. Its representatives stressed that Serena and Venus Williams, as well as Simon Biles, did not violate the anti-doping rules during the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

In WADA, the attack was called a crime and they stated that Russians were behind the break-in.
