ITMO student Gennady Korotkevich won the prestigious Google Code Jam championship, which was attended by more than 50,000 people from all over the world.
Google Code Jam has been running since 2003. This is the most famous and massive programming championship in which Google selects future employees for itself. Anyone can take part in it, but the selection rules are harsh. In the second round there are only 500 people, and in the finals are the top 25.

And for the fifth time in a row the first step of the pedestal was submitted to Gennady Korotkevich. This result was not previously achieved by any of the participants in Google Code Jam. Korotkevich is a real coding monster, a two-time winner of the ACM ICPC programming world championship, a five-time triumphant in the Yandex. Algorithm”. As a result of the competition, he scored 104 points, ahead of 8 points in the second-place Poles Kamila Debovski.
Despite all his achievements in the contest, which holds Google, Gennady is not going to go abroad. A talented programmer will continue to study in the postgraduate course ITMO.
