He did not warn where he was going and took with him the phone issued by the state.
Fisheries Minister of Norway Per Sandberg resigned because of violation of safety rules during the holidays. He visited Iran in July 2018.
Sandberg did not warn his colleagues about the place of the trip, and also took the telephone given to him to Iran. Norwegian ministers should notify the Prime Minister about the direction of the trip, and also have no right to use the state telephone in countries “with which Norway does not have a permanent security cooperation.”
As noted by the agency, Sandberg is also the head of the anti-immigration Progress party. Inside the party, he was criticized for going on vacation with his Iranian girl, who received a residence permit in Norway about 10 years ago.
