Apple reported revenue growth of 17% and an increase in the average revenue from the iPhone

  • Apple’s revenue in the third quarter of the financial year, which ended on June 30, 2018, was $ 53.3 billion – 17% more than a year earlier. Analysts had expected the figure of $ 52.34 billion.
  • For the quarter, Apple sold 41.3 million iPhones – 1% more than a year earlier. Analysts had expected the company to sell 41.79 units. Revenues from iPhone sales increased by 20%, to $ 29.9 billion.
  • Revenues from the company’s services grew by 31%, to $ 9.5 billion. This figure includes revenues from the App Store and Apple Music.
  • After the main trading, Apple shares rose 3%, notes Bloomberg. The average revenue from one iPhone grew from $ 606 a year earlier to $ 724 – including through sales of the iPhone X, the agency said.
