In the second quarter of this year, Huawei took the second place in the list of the largest mobile vendors, shifting to the third position of Apple. According to IDC, Samsung ranked first in the ranking with a 20.9% market share (71.5 million units) in the second quarter. Huawei – 15.8% of the market (54.2 million mobile phones), the third with 12.1% of the market – Apple (41.3 million iPhones).
Compared with the same period a year earlier, Korean Samsung lost most of its weight in weight – at that time it had 22.9% of the market. Huawei increased its presence by 40%, since a year earlier its share was about 11%. Apple added a little – 0.7%.
The maximum growth is in the Chinese Xiaomi. It amounted to 48.8% (market share of 9.3% and 6.2% in the current and past reporting periods, respectively).
Total volumes decreased by 1.8%.
