The Uzbek authorities suspended the broadcasting of the private Samarkand television channel STV, because they found a violation of the law on the media, “On State Youth Policy” and “On Protection of Children from Information”. The reason was the screenings of films “I am a legend” with Will Smith and a cartoon for adults “Full raskolbas”, told RIA Novostiand Interfax with reference to the profile ministry of the country.

Both films, shown on July 21 and 22 respectively, were included in the list of tapes that are not recommended by the national agency “Uzbekkino” for demonstration and distribution in Uzbekistan. The authorities explained that STV broadcast “materials of an unacceptable nature”.

Also, the authorities of Uzbekistan issued a warning to the Tashkent television channel Sevimli (“Lubimy”) for showing the film “Pretty Woman on the Full Head” on July 15. The reason for this was a scene of erotic content.

In Russia, the film “I Am Legend” (I Am Legend) was given a rating of 16+. “Full raskolbas” (Sausage Party) received a rating of 18+ in Russia. The comedy “Pretty Woman on the Full Head” (I Feel Pretty) with Amy Schumer came out in Russia for an audience of 16+.
