One of the largest Russian ad services Avito has launched the Avito Travel service to search for air tickets and tours. The company began to cooperate with Aviasales and began testing the project “about a week ago,” Kommersant reported.
Since the beginning of testing through Avito have done about 20 bookings, said the interviewee close to the project. The company expects to fully launch the service in August. The exact date was not called.
Head of Business Development Avito Nikolay Petrov explained the launch of the service by the growing demand for domestic and foreign tourism. The parties did not disclose the terms of cooperation.
At the same time, Kommersant learned that the ad service will be part of the Travelpayouts partner program, in which Aviasales provides a search engine for working under the brand of the partner. Aviasales receives a commission from agencies and the airline and pays a part to the partner – up to 2% on air tickets and up to 6% on hotels.
