The court of the Khamovnichesky District of Moscow fined Peter Verzilov from the group Pussy Riot for 1,5 thousand rubles per share at the finals of the World Cup 2018. In addition, the judge ordered the confiscation of the police uniform in which the activist ran out on the field, violating article 17.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (illegal wearing of uniforms).

At the beginning of the second half of the World Cup final between France and Croatia, four members of Pussy Riot ran out onto the field in police uniform, but the stewards caught them. With the action “Militiaman comes into play” they demanded to release all political prisoners, cancel the terms for “husky” and illegal arrests at rallies, admit political competition in the country and not fabricate criminal cases.

Earlier, members of Pussy Riot were arrested for 15 days for violating the rules of conduct at official sporting events. Three of them are waiting for the trial, which will be held on July 26.
