July 23 in the office of the online store “Player.ru” were searched, law enforcement officers withdrew the accompanying documents for the goods belonging to the store. This was reported by TASS with reference to its own sources. The interlocutors of the agency did not specify the reason for the searches.
According to the Telegram channel “Merciless PR”, in the course of investigative activities, operatives also arrested the chief accountant of “Player” and seized computer equipment in the office.
The authors of the channel also published a photo of the entrance to the office of “Player.ru”, where they posted an announcement about the temporary closure of the store. A similar announcement appeared on his sites. Administrators of “Player” apologized to users and promised to resume work.
In 2013, in the office “Player.ru” already conducted searches, during which operatives checked the waybills for the goods and labor books of employees. The basis for the investigative actions was then the suspicion of trading in Apple devices allegedly stolen from the company’s branded store.

On July 6, 2018, the director of the DNS chain, Dmitry Alekseev, accused the owners of “Player” of “building a scheme for cashing in money and smuggling goods.” He added that “the tax and other bodies do not go [from the DNS], and before Pleer.ru the relevant organizations can not get through.”
Assumptions about the criminal activities of “Player” Alekseyev caused low prices and the lack of cashless payments, as well as “left” checks and the annual replacement by a store of “black” legal entities with a similar name (for example, Alekon, Aleko A and Aleko T “).
