Apple has joined the investigation of incidents with users from Singapore. At least two of them lost $ 7,000 each, in other people the losses are measured in smaller amounts – from hundreds to several thousand dollars.
Details of the fraudulent scheme remain a mystery. It is only known that the owners of the ID cards tied to Apple have suffered, and the funds go away as if through iTunes. Users claim that they did not make these purchases.
Judging by the details of the transactions of one of the clients of the local bank, the write-off occurs in parts – probably, so that users do not immediately notice the problem or the bank does not warn about writing off a large sum. In total, in July, there are 58 cases involving OCBC clients.
