I was deeply saddened by the news of the tragic death of Denis Y. Tena, a famous Kazakhstani athlete, the bronze medalist of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Please accept my condolences in connection with this irreparable loss.
He made a significant contribution to the formation and development of the national figure skating school, the promotion of Kazakhstan’s sport at the highest level. His outstanding achievements have glorified our country, contributing to the popularization of sport among the youth.
It was an honor to share the ice with Denis. He is one of the skaters who decorated our sport. All my thoughts with his family at this unimaginable time. I was lucky that I have memories of Denis, which I will always keep.
Denis Ten was an excellent sportsman and an excellent representative of his sport, a charming man. Such a tragedy is his death at such a young age.
May people forgive me, but this is ******! Gone is not just a figure skater, but part of us! A part of me! How?! What for?! Just no words … Let these creatures die, who are involved, sit down and die in jail, bastards.
In some wild prostration, the whole world of figure skating is probably now. Literally two days ago I talked with him, we talked about his own topics, and now his death is very difficult to imagine. It’s impossible. There are no words.
Denis seemed the most gay, unusual and one of the most creative people in the world of figure skating. In this it is impossible to believe. I do not want to and can not believe. Condolences to everyone close to Denis.
I will never forget his laughter
I always thought that he had a great future. That he will at least be a minister in Kazakhstan or even a president. He’s so big, you know, not like everyone else. And very educated and tactful. And talented in everything.
Denis … was calling for me to the show in Kazakhstan, I promised that I would definitely come next year. Everything must be done in time, so as not to regret later. I’m crying. Such a bright man lost.
