NYT: Russian intelligence agents suspected of involvement in the poisoning of the Violins

Whether those are people who are accused of interfering in the American elections, it is not known.

The British investigation suspected employees of the Main Intelligence Agency of involvement in the poisoning of former Colonel GRU Sergey Skripal and his daughter Julia Skripal, the New York Times reported citing British and US officials who are familiar with the investigation.

According to the publication, the investigation is “close” to determining the persons who performed the operation. In the UK, it was not ruled out that another structure or special service might be behind the attempt at the Violins

The NYT recalled that GRU officials are accused of interfering in the US presidential election in 2016. The same people are the same, it was not specified.
