The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of India has adopted the principle of network neutrality. This means that now all forms of artificial slowdown of data transmission are prohibited, or vice versa – the creation of priority in the transmission of information from certain services or sites.
It is noted that this decision was the final of India’s long-standing struggle for network neutrality. Now companies that intentionally understate or overstate the speed of processing content will receive a penalty.
Network neutrality was said much last year. The Federal Communications Regulatory Commission succeeded in abolishing the principle of network neutrality. On June 11, the decision came into force.
