The Lightning Seeds’ Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home) song – the unofficial anthem of the England national football team ranked first in the UK charts after. The song was released in 1996.
The lyrics of the song include pessimistic stamps, which are showered by the team of journalists and fans, and expresses the hope that in the end, the Cup will return home – to England after 30 years of “pain.”
The melody of the song also became a cultural phenomenon, it was performed in various variations during the ceremony of changing the guard at Windsor:
