Load of guilt in one picture.
July 7, the Russian team lost on penalties in Croatia and flew from the 2018 World Cup. And in social networks, many are blamed for the defeat of striker Fedor Smolov, who came on as a substitute in the second half.
Smolov, who showed himself in the mundiale and so not in the best way (not a single goal in five games), could not open the account in the penalty shootout. He tried to execute a blow in the style of “Panenki” – in this performance the ball is tried gently to cut into the goal, and not to hit the force. But the Croatian goalkeeper Subasic reacted and easily repulsed the ball.
After the lost penalty shootout, the players of both teams went to the changing rooms, and the spectators began to disperse. On the lawn of the Sochi stadium “Fisht” only Smolov stayed.
