In Japan, a local 24-year-old unemployed man was sentenced to a year in prison with a three-year suspended sentence for having built hidden-mining software into the cheat program. The link to download posted on his blog on the Internet, but did not have much to earn – his software downloaded only 90 people.
On the capacities of their computers for a few months, he earned about $ 45, until his program fell into the field of view of law enforcement. In Japan, cheating is illegal. That is why such a severe sentence is also explained by the distribution of the program for gaining a gaming advantage.
Earlier, another Japanese was fined $ 909 for installing Coinhive software on his own website and using the computer resources of his visitors.
