LG received in late June a patent for a smartphone with a bendable display. The application for a patent was filed in mid-2017. The document describes a device with two microphones, two speakers, two antennas and two cameras, one of which is located on the outside, which, apparently, allows you to shoot when the smartphone is in a folded-up screen inside.
The frameless display is automatically activated when the smartphone is opened and turns off when folding the device in half. The patent does not describe the algorithms of user interaction with the smartphone, there are only general descriptions of the device.
The intention to release smartphones with a folding screen is attributed to many large mobile vendors. It is assumed that prototypes of such devices will be demonstrated in late 2018 or early next.
