Intel company stopped the development of mobile 5G-modems due to Apple’s failure to use its components in the iPhone 2020, reports MacRumors. This is reported by the Israeli site CTech by Calcalist with reference to informed sources. The product was developed under the code name Sunny Peak. It is alleged that Intel will redirect the released resources to other areas.
The main driving force of Sunny Peak was called cooperation with Apple, for this reason, the failure of the American corporation from Intel’s 5G modems can have a significant impact on its business.
Intel declined to comment on the information, and Apple’s decision is associated with many factors.
