According to the management of the bank, because of the closedness of companies, only every fifth crime in cyberspace becomes publicly known.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Stanislav Kuznetsov presented the study “New Challenges of the Digital World”. He said that the company’s specialists discovered a rapid rejuvenation of the organizers of cyberattacks: allegedly about 30-40% of all crimes in 2017 were committed by schoolchildren. The statement of the banker was published by TASS.
Kuznetsov noted that every second modern cyber attack is directed against financial organizations. According to him, only 20% of all crimes are publicly known – Kuznetsov linked these statistics with the reluctance of affected companies to disclose information.
