New album Drake has set several absolute records for streaming services

Released on this Friday, a double album of a Canadian musician literally “blew up” Spotify and Apple Music.

Canadian Aubrey Drake Graham, better known to a wider audience as Drake, likes to set new records on popular streaming services. And thanks to his new full-length album, it turned out again.

First, he set a new indicator for Spotify. “Scorpion” here heard over a day more than 132 million times. The previous record belonged to Post Malone and his album “Beerbongs & Bentleys”, which was auditioned more than 78 million times.

Secondly, Drake was able to beat his own record for the Apple Music service. And if last time the result was about 90 million plays (it was his release “More Life”), then the new record exceeds it twice and amounts to 170 million streams. In addition, all 25 tracks took the top positions in the service chart.

Well and at last. As it became known on Monday, the Canadian just over the weekend was able to break the record of his album’s streams over the calendar week. And he continues to recruit new auditions. At the time of counting statistics, the number of streams exceeded the mark of 475 million, which is 3.7 million more than the already mentioned Beerbongs & Bentleys from Post Malone. Analysts predict more than 700 million streams on the week.
