Sotsset revised policy only after six months.
Facebook partially refused the ban on the placement of advertising related to crypto-currencies, said the director of product management, social network Rob Lazern. The company revised its advertising policy only six months after the introduction of restrictions.
Advertising crypto currency will be able to publish in Facebook not all, but only “pre-approved advertisers” – this means the premoderation of such ads. The company has banned the advertising of binary options and ICO (Initial coin offering). Also, Facebook will continue to remove ads that are “misleading”.
As noted by Lazerne, Facebook employees revised the policy “after doing some work” after the changes in January. Then the company explained the ban on advertising crypto, ICO and binary options by combating unscrupulous advertisers and scammers.
