Combat dances of Tonga and Samoa before the rugby match

Athletes faced face to face even before the starting whistle.

June 23 in Australia was rugby match, which met the national teams of Tonga and Samoa. The tradition of both teams includes performing combat dances to intimidate an opponent – local analogues of New Zealand khaki. Therefore, before the game, rugby players staged a “dance battle” with screaming at the opponent’s address.
