Rostrud reminded that on hot days working hours can be reduced by 1-4 hours.
– If the temperature in the working room reached 28.5 degrees, then it is recommended to shorten the working day by one hour. When the temperature rises to 29 degrees – for two hours, at a temperature of 30.5 degrees – for four hours – told the agency.
If the work is associated with moderate physical loads, this temperature threshold is reduced to 26.5-27.5 degrees, respectively.
In Rostrud stressed that the employer is obliged to provide his employees with normal working conditions, including the prescribed temperature regime.
It can be achieved, for example, by air conditioning. You can also provide places for rest, allow breaks in work, prepare available clean water and a first-aid kit.
