A large Bithumb exchange was affected by a hacker attack. Attackers withdrew about $ 31 million. The incident occurred last night. The service promptly stopped servicing the transfer of tokens. Representatives of the exchange said that they will compensate users for the loss.
Bithumb customers were also asked not to contribute new funds to the accounts, until the administration decides all issues with the security of the exchange. What exactly did the hackers manage to pull out the crypto currency, is not specified.
Previously, hackers attacked another crypto-exchange from South Korea – Coinrail. Then extraction of malefactors was even bigger – they managed to withdraw about $ 40 million in tokens.
