The emergency team of the US has warned users and administrators about newly discovered malicious programs developed by the North Korean hacker group Hidden Cobra. On the Internet, it is also known as the Lazarus group.
In total, 11 malicious programs were detected, which consist of Windows executables and a Word document with malicious Visual Basic macros. These files can download and install malware, proxy and remote access Trojans. They are able to connect to a remote server, receive additional instructions from it, and modify the user’s firewall.
Americans suspect the Lazarus group in spreading the WannaCry virus, stealing $ 80 million from the bank accounts in Bangladesh and hacking the Sony Pictures mail in 2014.
