A new virus for Android attacks the set-top boxes and the crypto currency

It became known about a new virus that attacks devices on Android. It can penetrate, among other things, on set-top boxes like Amazon Fire TV. Specifically on the consoles the virus does not specialize, but because of the operating system it is able to penetrate them.

A malicious code is called ADB.Miner. It is installed as an application called Test. Having got on the device, the virus starts to extract a crypto currency. Because of this, the speed of the device slows down, and eventually the screen simply shows Test with the Android icon.

It is noted that if the user has not changed the settings for developers on Amazon Fire TV, the virus will not be scary. But by allowing installation of applications from unknown sources, the software-miner will be able to penetrate the system.
