In Britain, died “The Bride of Belsen”

At the age of 95, Gina Tjerjel, a Jewish survivor of the Holocaust and three Nazi concentration camps (Auschwitz, Buchenwald and Bergen-Belsen), died, and she took care of the author of the famous diaries of Anna Frank until her death in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

The fact that Tjerjel has died on May, 7th, in his tweet was reported by the chief rabbi of Britain Ephraim Mirvis (Ephraim Mirvis).

After the Second World War, Gina married Norman Tirdzhela, one of the soldiers who liberated Bergen-Belsen, eventually obtaining the nickname “Bride from Belsen.” Her wedding dress, sewn from silk for parachutes, is still kept in the Imperial War Museum of London.
