In the US, a female police officer came to clean up the street party. As a result, she was poured water and piled in the mud

The Police Department began the investigation of the incident.

On June 2, two police officers of the Department of Lubbock (Texas, USA) were summoned to one area for reporting civil strife. Law enforcers received 58 complaints that people threw balloons filled with water into cars and blocked vehicles, preventing them from passing.

It turned out that an event called “East Side Water Wars: The Purge” was held in the district. The event was to last from 13 to 22 pm. In the poster of the event, it is emphasized that it is allowed “any water weapon”.

It was just a day to go out and have fun, just drenching with water.

As a result, hundreds of black people took to the streets and began a “water battle”. After a couple of hours, two officers came to the district. The police woman told the residents that they can continue to have fun, but stay away from the roadway and cars. But when she tried to return to the patrol car, she was started to pour water from pistols and throw water balloons (from the third minute of the video). After that, one of the residents pushed her, and when she began to pursue him, she fell into the mud. As a result, the woman managed to return to the car, but until the end of the road, she continued to pour water.

On this day, we were absolutely calm, and got together to have fun. There were adults and children. There was no blood, no fights, no shooting, none of these incidents occurred. We just got together and had a great time.

The police report says that the officer tried to call for reinforcements, but could not, because her walkie-talkie was wet. In addition, she had dirt and water on her clothes, bulletproof vest, pistol and electric shock. The second officer was also unlucky: a plastic wastebasket was thrown at him, and then a bucket of water was poured out. Both policemen indicated that as soon as the reinforcements arrived, the crowd dispersed.

I fully support our Lubbock Police Department and express my gratitude to the police officers who reacted to this incident. They demonstrated a calm and respectful approach in their efforts to resolve the situation. The restraint that they showed is noteworthy. Unfortunately, several people preferred to aggravate the situation. I believe that this incident does not represent the majority of our community, which, I believe, applies to our law enforcement officers with courtesy and respect.

The Police Department began investigating the incident. Detectives have to determine whether the filing of charges against residents of the area is appropriate.
