Head SpaceX Elon Musk said that the company plans to send to the Moon its first space tourists. According to him, it is planned to fly a week long at the end of 2018. Both SpaceX clients are set to travel “very seriously” and have already paid the required deposit.
As told by Musk, SpaceX intends to use a manned version of Dragon 2 with a Falcon Heavy carrier rocket for the flight.
During a commercial mission, it is planned to fly around the satellite without landing on the surface. Travel around the moon tentatively will take a week.

The names of the two space tourists are not disclosed. In SpaceX noted that the necessary tests and training with their participation plan to start this year.
Musk thanked NASA for financial support for the creation of Dragon 2. As the head of SpaceX stressed, in 2017 the ship will go to the International Space Station in an automatic mode.
On February 18, SpaceX canceled the launch of the Dragon cargo vehicle to the ISS for 13 seconds before the launch. According to the company, the cause of the malfunction in the work of the engine rocket carrier Falcon 9.
SpaceX also postponed the date of sending the first truck to Mars from 2018 to 2020 in order to refine more relevant projects. In September 2016, Musk declared that for the first time people could go to Mars in 2023.
