Chilean entrepreneur Camilo Briceño bought a Motorola Moto X4 smartphone in the Ripley chain store for 58 kilograms of avocado. The usual cost of the device was 190 thousand pesos (about 18,6 thousand rubles).

Recently, Chile has faced a shortage of avocados, which is widely consumed domestically. The prices for it soared and reached more than five thousand pesos (about 500 rubles) per kilogram in the street markets. Because of this, the Ripley store chain has issued an “equivalent price for avocados” along with the usual value for some products in the framework of the CyberDay promotion.

A couple of days after the start of the action in one of the shops appeared Briceño with several bags of avocados. In the end, he successfully used them to buy Moto X4.

29-year-old Briseño is known in Chile as ” Avocado-gai “. It is a successful supplier of avocados around the world, and its monthly sales exceed three tons of fruit plants.
