Apple introduced a new kind of “animoji” – personal Memoji. As told at the WWDC conference, new emoji can be sent separately, instead of the usual smileys, or used as masks in Instagram. Similarly, AR-emoji works in the Samsung Galaxy S9.

At WWDC, Apple employees showed how Memoji work in group chat rooms in FaceTime. Each interlocutor gets his own mask, including “animoji” of animals.
