American streaming service Netflix announced the release of the series “Disappointment” last year. Interest in him even then was associated with the fact that he was directed by Matt Greening, the creator of The Simpsons and Futurama.
The first shots of the series were published in the official Netflix account on Twitter this week.
Unlike the previous two creations of Graining, “Disappointment” is made for an exclusively adult audience and there will be more harsh jokes.
Ultimately, “Disappointment” will talk about life and death, love and sex, and how to continue to laugh in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite all the assurances of elders, wizards and other idiots.
The main characters of the Groening show will be the heavily drunk Princess Bean, her energetic friend Elf Elf and the “personal demon” Lucy, who live in the medieval kingdom of Dreamland, which has seen better times.
On their way they will have to meet ogres, fairies, harpies, demons, trolls, walruses and a lot of the most common idiots.
Also on the project worked Rough Draft Studios, who previously painted all the same “Simpsons” and “Futurama”. The voice of the characters will be Abby Jacobson(Bean), Nat Fakson (Elfo) and Eric Andre (Lucy).
Reviews from Netflix about working with Matt and the novelty are extremely positive so far.
Matt’s brilliant creations have a huge resonance around the world, and we are incredibly happy to work with him. The series will “bite” the audience with wit: in our opinion, it will perfectly suit many fans of the animation Netflix.
I wonder how the cult will be a cartoon?
