Today, the GDPR came into force: some US media and services ceased to work for Europeans

Sites of well-known American media belonging to the holding Tronc (The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, New York Daily News, etc) ceased to open from the territory of the EU after the entry into force of the GDPR. Also, the well-known service of saving Instapapper links has been temporarily suspended in the EU.

The GDPR is a new set of standards for collecting and protecting user personal data from the European Union because of which all your inbox inbox has turned into a mess.

It prohibits the collection and storage of certain categories of user data (for example, their religion or sexual orientation), obliges services to structure and standardize the process of collecting and processing personal data about users, gives the user the right to view the collected data and delete them on demand.
