The authorities of the Netherlands and Australia formally accused Russia of involvement in the collapse of the Malaysian “Boeing”, which was shot down over the Donetsk region of Ukraine in 2014. This is stated in the statement of the Dutch Council of Ministers, Reuters reported .
The government added that they had already turned to Russia with a proposal for a dialogue on justice in the situation of “incredible suffering and damage” associated with the crash of MH17 flight. They also noted that bringing the entire country to justice is a “complex legal process”.
On the eve of the announcement of the Dutch ministers, the international investigation submitted a report on the involvement of the Russian Defense Ministry in the fall of the Malaysian Boeing departing from Amsterdam. According to investigators, the missile-antiaircraft complex participating in the catastrophe belonged to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade from the Kursk region.
The plane of the airline company Malaysia Airlines, following on the flight Amsterdam – Kuala Lumpur, was shot down on July 17, 2014, when it flew over conflict areas in the east of Ukraine. On board the liner were 283 passengers and 15 crew members – they are all called dead.
