Amazon still refuses to cooperate.

Google Corp. has ceased to provide IP addresses to the Telegram messenger to bypass the lock in Russia, said the head of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov. This was reported by Interfax.

According to Zharov, the agency “continues dialogue” with companies, but negotiations with Amazon “are not going so fast” and “no result so far”.

In addition, Roskomnadzor intends to introduce “new technical solutions” for more effective locking of the messenger. Zharov did not name specific measures, but assured that “they are.”

Zharov added that the “degradation” of the messenger “is within a day from 15% to 35-40% on various smartphones,  TASS noted . According to the head of the department, the outflow of advertising and telegram users after blocking amounted to about 25%.

On April 25, deputy head of Roskomnadzor Vadim Subbotin said that the interaction with Google became more constructive and the company entered a “substantive dialogue”. At the same time, contacts with Amazon did not lead to positive results.

Providers began to block Telegram on April 16 due to the failure of the messenger to transfer the FSB encryption keys to access the users’ correspondence. On the same day, Roskomnadzor blocked 655,532 IP addresses of Amazon and about a million Google addresses, just about 18 million IP-addresses were blocked. The agency explained the decision by the fact that companies allow Telegram to use their addresses to bypass locks in Russia.
