Russian students in May will be evicted from hostels to make room for Rosgvardia

Previously, the Ministry of Education stated that only those who leave for the holidays will be evicted at the time of the 2018 World Cup.

Head of the Ministry of Education and Science Olga Vasilieva said that students of Russian hostels will leave them in May, so that law enforcement officers will settle there. They will provide security at the World Cup in 2018.

From the end of May, those hostels will be liberated, where law enforcement officers will live. Everything is agreed. Program plans [for these students] will be changed, they are already made up. But study for them will begin as usual, from September 1.

Vasilieva did not specify whether this concerns all students, or only those who will go home for vacation, as the Ministry of Education previously stated.

November 10, the newspaper Kommersant reported that in several universities will shorten the school year in order to release in hostels places for Rosgvardia and police at the World Cup in 2018. After that, the Ministry of Education stated that law enforcement officers plan to place on the ground those who will go home for the summer holidays.
