According to him, the Interior Ministry believes that the situation “looks like a misunderstanding.”
The founder of the pizzeria “Dodo pizza” Fedor Ovchinnikov said that the investigators promised not to call him for interrogation any more. According to him, Stanislav Semionov, a franchise partner, was called to the police, who was called a “misunderstanding” and promised that there will be no more interrogations.
Simeonov testified about the circumstances of the detection of bookmarks and on this “it all ended.” At the same time he was told during the interrogation that Ovchinnikov had a canceled conviction for fraud. The founder of the pizzeria called this “absolute untruth” and suggested that this is a mistake or “a kind of psychological reception.”
Ovchinnikov said that around the case of distribution of pizzeria drugs appeared different versions.
People called different versions: taking off business, intrigues of competitors, revenge of the offended, corruption, “checking” for strength, just a routine trial. Some even thought that we ourselves all fanned for the sake of PR. Although the last thing we need is the association of our company with the drug case.
At the same time, Ovchinnikov does not believe in what the business wanted to select, nor in the version about the intrigues of competitors and the “routine work of the police.” He has three versions of the explanation of events: the anonymous charge is just a cover, the statement of “some madman” and the found “bookmark” is a coincidence, or it is all a provocation.
According to Ovchinnikov, the police did not try to establish who Ekaterina Pronina, who wrote the statement, within three months from the receipt of the appeal. At the same time, the statement stated that it relates to a pizzeria.
Internet users found the real Pronin for a couple of hours, while the real Catherine, the investor of our pizzeria in Lyubertsy, said that she did not write the statement and her signature was forged. My questioning at the Medvedkovo police department began with the fact that the investigator announced to me the terrible article “spreading on a very large scale with punishment up to life”, and was an attempt to connect me and the pizzeria in Medvedkovo, where the “bookmarks” were found.
Ovchinnikov calls the situation a provocation, but does not yet know who could organize it. He suggested that someone might cause envy “open figures”, or someone believes that the network is “rich and could share.”
If it does not work out, it’s always possible to drag people through interrogations. Someone in our place would give a slack – and would be willing to “negotiate”.
Ovchinnikov added that the attack was unlikely to pursue a serious goal – most likely it was a “reconnaissance battle.” He noted that the story will soon end, because he received support from journalists, businessmen and politicians.
On February 8, Ovchinnikov said that he had been interrogated as a witness in the case of selling drugs through the restaurants of the Dodo Pizza network. As he said , the police allegedly found “bookmarks” with banned substances in one of the pizzerias in Moscow. Ovchinnikov did not agree with the prosecution and said that he intended to sue for libel.
