A lot depends on one extra letter.

A Swedish resident, Johanna Giselhäll Sandström, changed her son’s name after the tattoo artist made a mistake in writing it. This was reported by The Local with reference to the local newspaper Blekinge Läns Tidning.

Sandström asked the master to fill her with a tattoo with the names of the children: Nova and Kevin. They agreed on the sketch, but after the session, the woman noticed that instead of “Kevin” on the hand was stuffed “Kelvin.”

My heart stopped, and it seemed to me that I was about to faint.

Sandström returned to the salon, but the master said that he could not fix anything. However, he returned her money for the work and shared the number of the clinic for removing tattoos.

When the woman found out that many procedures were needed to remove the tattoo, she and her husband decided to change the name of the son to Calvin. At the time when Sandström was filling a tattoo, Kevin was two years old, and he did not think about his name, the woman claims. Now he is five years old.

I’ve never heard the name of Kelvin before, and I do not know anyone who would call that a child. The more I thought about it, the clearer it became that no one had such a name. It is unique. Now it seems to us that it is even better than “Kevin”.

Sandström recently gave birth to a third child, the girl was named Freya (Freja). The woman intends to fill the tattoo and with her name, but will check the correctness of his writing “ten thousand times.”
