Some music news from the foggy Albion
Damon Albarn, the creator and chief ideologist of Gorillaz, as well as the leader of Blur and The Good, the Bad and the Queen, left a laptop in the taxi with the master version of Gorillaz’s new album. According to The Mirror , the musician forgot the laptop with the band’s new work when he returned from the Groucho Club in London. According to an unnamed source, when the loss was learned, panic began.
It was a disaster. Damon was responsible for everything connected with Gorillaz, and not only for audio, but for the expensive visual part. This laptop was priceless.
Fortunately for the label and Damon himself, as soon as the taxi service found out about the loss, the laptop was found almost immediately, and was returned to the owner. Plum did not happen, but the incident still managed to get a lot of publicity.
The release of the new album Gorillaz is tentatively scheduled for June this year, and will be very personal for Damon Albarn – according to the same source, the album will be very politicized, and much will revolve around the current situation with Brexit, whose opponent is Albarn. The last album to date “Humanz” was released in April 2017 and was ambiguously received by critics and the public.
