At the airport in Istanbul, Asiana’s plane demolished the tail section of the Turkish Airlines aircraft, crashing into it with a wing. The incident occurred on Sunday, May 13 at 17:30 local time.

On the scene immediately called a fire brigade, which prevented the fire. Both planes were removed from the flights after the incident for verification.
The Turkish authorities have promised to conduct an investigation and determine the cause of the accident. Asiana offered hotel rooms to all 222 passengers on a flight bound for Seoul.
