Netta Barzilay won the 63rd song contest, performing the composition “Toy” (“Toy”).
Netta Barzilay won the song contest “Eurovision-2018” in Lisbon. She represented Israel with the composition “Toy” (“Toy”). The live broadcast was conducted by the official Eurovision channel.
According to the results of the voting, the professional jury was led by Cesar Sampson, representing Austria, but the spectators’ votes brought Barzilai as a result. Her success did not come as a surprise – before the contest the chances of Israel were highly appreciated by both bookmakers and lovers of Eurovision.
Netta scored 529 points, Sampson – 342 and took only third place. Performer Eleni Fureira, representing Cyprus, took second place, receiving 436 points in total from the audience and the professional jury.

In the final of the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest 26 performers participated. The host country of the competition this year, Portugal, took the last place – she was awarded only 39 points. Ukraine received the lowest score from the professional jury (11), and the least from the audience – Australia (9).
Russia this year could not make it to the finals. The best result among the countries of the former USSR was shown by Estonia – Elina Nechaeva brought to this country the eighth place in the contest. Moldovan trio «DoReDos», which was produced by Philip Kirkorov, took 10th place.
The winner of Eurovision 2009, Alexander Rybak, who spoke for Norway with the song “That’s How You Write A Song”, eventually took only 15th place.
