Landing pilot on a moving cargo ship in Finland

The main thing is to work with your partner and choose the right time.

In early April, a resident of the Finnish island of Hailuoto took off the pilot’s landing on a moving cargo ship that sailed off the coast. Standing on the edge of the metal bridge, which helped to keep his partner, the man waited until the ship came close enough. Then he caught hold of the cable ladder that had been thrown out by the crew and boarded.

The commentary indicates that the ship was moving to the Finnish port of Oulu, and the ice thickness in the region was about 50 centimeters.
